Play LinkedIn's Daily Word Puzzle: The Wend Game

To wend is to go in a specified direction, typically by a winding route. In June 2026, LinkedIn launched Wend, the eighth game in their popular daily puzzle suite. Designed by Thomas Snyder (LinkedIn's Principal Puzzlemaster and multiple-time World Sudoku Champion), the game challenges players to connect adjacent letters winding around fixed walls to solve the daily word search.

How to Play the LinkedIn Wend Game

The game presents you with a 5x5 grid of letters containing some blocked gray cells (walls). Your objective is to trace four hidden words of lengths 3, 4, 5, and 6 letters (18 letters in total) to fill the grid.

📍

Start Anywhere

Tap or click any letter tile to begin a word path. You can select the words in any order.

🌀

Trace Neighbors

Extend the path horizontally or vertically to adjacent letters. Diagonals are not allowed, and paths cannot cross the gray walls.

Use Every Tile

Each letter on the grid belongs to exactly one word. You must cover the entire board to complete the puzzle.

How Wend Compares to Other Word Games

While it shares similarities with games like Boggle or NYT Strands, Wend introduces a unique layout logic that turns it into a tiling puzzle:

Game Feature LinkedIn Wend Game NYT Strands Classic Boggle
Grid Size 5×5 Grid 6×8 Grid 4×4 or 5×5 Grid
Letter Usage Every letter used exactly once Some letters remain unused Letters reused in multiple words
Obstacles Fixed gray walls blocking paths None None
Game Goal Fit 4 specific path lengths (3, 4, 5, 6) Find theme words plus theme synonym Find as many random words as possible

The LinkedIn Games Suite

LinkedIn first introduced games in May 2024 to encourage light mental breaks during the workday. Wend is the first brand-new word game added since the launch, joining a growing collection of daily puzzles:
